Dear Editor and Chief:
My Name is Eric Stearns. I am a sophomore at Early College High School in Conway, South Carolina.
I am writing to address the massive problem of destruction and bleaching of coral reefs.
The problem we are having with coral reefs is very serious and not to be taken lightly. The problem with coral reefs is that they are dying off. Over the past years the world has lost more than 20 different coral reefs. We use coral reefs for so many different things from coral reefs, like 50 percent of chemicals that we use in our everyday medicine such as Benadryl, and Tylenol. One of the biggest reasons coral reefs are breaking down is because of the most dominant animal on this planet, us. We dump, drill, everything in the ocean every day, so I ask you to take a good look at what you are doing, and help. With adequate time and care for these beautiful coral reefs, I think we can change the world

Thank you so much for your time and I would hope to hear from you soon
                                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                                            Eric Stearns
